ATTENTION all NHS applicants and JNHS applicants 
This is a reminder ALL applications are due to the office no later than 2:30  this Friday.
Please turn in all applications in a sealed Manila folder with your name on the front. and submit them to Mrs Corbett's box. 
NO MONEY should be turned in at this time.  When your application is approved you will be notified and dues will be collected then.
If you have any questions about applications I will be available during SMART LUNCH 1.

  • Seniors-  September 17 during lunch
  • 9th -11th grade September 18 during lunch

Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.
  • First, use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned

Things you need to know
Locker clean out today during 4th block

There will be a meeting for all those interested in women's golf on Tuesday, May 15th during 2nd lunch (12:40) in Children's Building room 2106 (the room behind the cafeteria). Please attend this meeting to receive information about the possibility of starting a women's golf team in the fall.

Juniors
Mr. Hamilton would like to meet with all Juniors, Tuesday, May 15 in the big room in the basement next to Mrs. Robertson's room during 1st lunch.  Please report after the bell rings from 3rd block.





SAVE THE DATE for this year's Heart of a Champion event with Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas Healthcare System)! HGCS will participate in the event on Saturday, June 2nd. This event serves as a FREE sports physical and heart screening, and it is available for rising 9th-12th grade student-athletes.
Participants must register online at CarolinasHealthCare.org/Heart-of-a-Champion between April 30th and May 27th. ALL participants must ride the bus from HGCS to the event site--parents may NOT drop off students at the event site. We will let participants know our school's event time and additional details once they have been announced by Atrium Health.

Congratulations to our Varsity Softball team for making the top seed in the NCISAA Tournament! The team will have a bye in the first round and will host a second round game on Tuesday, May 15th at 3:30pm.  Early dismissal 2:00 today.
