Things you need to know
Locker clean out today during 4th block

There will be a meeting for all those interested in women's golf on Tuesday, May 15th during 2nd lunch (12:40) in Children's Building room 2106 (the room behind the cafeteria). Please attend this meeting to receive information about the possibility of starting a women's golf team in the fall.

 If you are interested in playing JV or Varsity Football next year, sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/eqpaadkgMkPpkqAn1. Contact Coach Pondo with any questions or to talk about playing football in the fall.

Juniors
Mr. Hamilton would like to meet with all Juniors, Tuesday, May 15 in the big room in the basement next to Mrs. Robertson's room during 1st lunch.  Please report after the bell rings from 3rd block.





SAVE THE DATE for this year's Heart of a Champion event with Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas Healthcare System)! HGCS will participate in the event on Saturday, June 2nd. This event serves as a FREE sports physical and heart screening, and it is available for rising 9th-12th grade student-athletes.
Participants must register online at CarolinasHealthCare.org/Heart-of-a-Champion between April 30th and May 27th. ALL participants must ride the bus from HGCS to the event site--parents may NOT drop off students at the event site. We will let participants know our school's event time and additional details once they have been announced by Atrium Health.
SMART Lunch schedule for 2nd semester:
Here is the new SMART lunch schedule for 2nd semester.

Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org


Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.
  • First use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.


Clubs:
This is Week 3 for SMART lunch clubs.

GUIDANCE OFFICE
STAY CONNECTED to the High School Guidance Office to receive important info about planning for college, taking the SAT or ACT, and celebrating with your classmates when they get accepted to a college or University!


SENIORS - Don’t forget to request transcripts as soon as you apply to a college!  You can request a transcript easily by using this link:   
ATHLETICS
Congratulations to our Varsity Softball team for making the top seed in the NCISAA Tournament! The team will have a bye in the first round and will host a second round game on Tuesday, May 15th at 3:30pm.  Early dismissal 2:00 today.

On Friday, May 11 you will have graduation practice and then will leave for Sports Connection to have a fun day with your friends and teachers. Lunch is included.  If you chose not to go to Sports Connection, you will attend classes.

Ladies Golf
This coming Fall we are trying to make Hickory Grove's first ever Women's Golf Team. We need at least 7 girls to commit by the end of the year! Every girl is welcome to join!!  There is a sign up sheet in the High School office.  See Faith Day if you have any questions.
