Venture Club meets today in Mrs. McFarland's room 1st lunch. Hear plans about our Nov. adventure to Uptown Charlotte.
DANCE CLUB
Dancers needed! Sign ups for various performance pieces are posted outside of the FLC dance room. Rehearsal days and times are on the sign up sheets and rehearsals start next week.
ASL-
Sign Language Club will be going to Discovery Place with NC School for the Deaf on Tuesday, November 8th. We are meeting at the downtown Charlotte location 9:30 am. You will need to provide your own transportation. Please give your $10 discounted admission to Mrs. Cochrane or Audrey Frye this week or you may have to pay full price at the door.
Rho Kappa will meet this Thursday 2nd lunch in the basement in the Warehouse room. Please have your President or President's wife (predetermined few) selected by then.

Students, please let your voice be heard and included in this year's yearbook by casting your ballots from the voting strips of The Pride. Ballot boxes are placed throughout the school.
Note: votes will not be counted if your name and grade is not included on the ballot.

Chromebooks: If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org
Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.
- First use no consequence
- Second use lunch detention assigned
- Third use lunch detention assigned
- Fourth and above after school detention assigned
- Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

ATHLETICS
Winter Sports Tryouts
All students must turn in ALL athletic forms to the coach or athletic trainer on the first day of tryouts. Students who do not turn in all athletic forms will not be allowed to participate in tryouts. Athletic forms include the Athletic Physical Form, Athletic Participation Agreement, and Athletic Medical Forms Packet.
- SWIMMING - November 1 (HS only), November 3 (HS & MS), & November 4 (HS & MS), 3:00-4:30pm at Simmons YMCA - bus transportation will be provided and will leave campus at 2:45pm. Each swimmer must attend 2 days of tryouts. MS swimmers must attend Thursday and Friday. HS swimmers must attend Tuesday and one other day. HS swimmers must sign up for their second day with Coach McFarland in her classroom. All swimmers will need goggles for tryouts.
Fall Varsity Sports Banquet
The end-of-season awards banquet for fall varsity athletes will be held on Monday, November 7 at 6:30pm in Gyms A/B. We will recognize each varsity team and announce team award recipients. Dinner will be served at the banquet. All fall varsity athletes and their parents are invited to attend.
