The Birth of Jesus

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria). And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem, the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

On December 9th in conjunction with sweater night at the basketball game, you may also wear sweaters to school that day.

Chromebooks: If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org

Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.

First use no consequence
Second use lunch detention assigned
Third use lunch detention assigned
Fourth and above after school detention assigned
Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

Clubs:

Debate club is meeting every other Wednesday during first lunch in Mrs. Robertson's room in the basement

STAY CONNECTED to the High School Guidance Office to receive important info about planning for college, taking the SAT or ACT, and celebrating with your classmates when they get accepted to a college or University!

ATHLETICS

The Athletic Department is hosting a Wrestling Camp over Christmas break.

Wrestling Camp

December 27-29, 8:30am-1:00pm, HGBC Family Life Center

Open to boys ages 8-18 (must be HGCS students or HGBC church members).

Cost: Free! (includes lunch and a t-shirt)

Christmas Sweater Night at Home Basketball Games

Our JV and Varsity basketball teams will play at home on Friday, December 9 against Cannon School at 4:00, 5:30, and 7:00pm. The theme for the night is "Christmas Sweater Night." Students who Christmas sweaters/apparel to the game will be admitted for just $1. Regular admission is $3 for the JV game and $5 for the Varsity games. GO LIONS!
