Things you need to know:
Congratulations to our Varsity Softball team for defeating Providence Day 9-2 in the second round of the state tournament! The Lady Lions will travel to Raleigh on Friday to play at Wake Christian Academy at 4:00pm. The team will have early dismissal at 10:00am.


Chromebook Collection
Chromebook collection will begin on Monday 5/22.  Students will turn in chromebooks and chargers in Mr. Adam’s room.  Seniors may begin turning in chromebooks on Firday 5/19.
Locker Clean Out
We will do a locker clean out on Monday 5/22 during 4B.  Please begin taking things home before then.
           
Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org
Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.

  • First use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.
Clubs:
GUIDANCE OFFICE
STAY CONNECTED to the High School Guidance Office to receive important info about planning for college, taking the SAT or ACT, and celebrating with your classmates when they get accepted to a college or University!
SENIORS - Don’t forget to request transcripts as soon as you apply to a college!  You can request a transcript easily by using this link:   
ATHLETICS:
Off-Season & Football Workouts
This week is the last week of off-season workouts. Summer workouts for JV and Varsity Football will start Tuesday, May 30th and will be held Monday through Thursday throughout the summer from 7:55am to 12:00pm.


CHS Heart of a Champion
Save the date for this year's Heart of a Champion event with Carolinas Healthcare System! HGCS will participate in the event on June 3rd. This event serves as a FREE sports physical and heart screening, and it is available for student-athletes in grades 9-12. Participants must register online at CarolinasHealthCare.org/Heart-of-a-Champion between May 1st and May 28th. ALL participants must ride the bus from HGCS to the event site--parents may NOT drop off students at the event site. CHS will be releasing our school's arrival and screening time soon.

Things you need to know:
Seniors:
Here are a few things to let you know about for tomorrow.:
  • you need to be at school by 7:45
  • you will clean out your lockers tomorrow
  • you may wear Friday dress and athletic shorts that come to the knee
  • you will begin turning in your chrome books and chargers to Mr. Adams.  If you do not turn in a chrome book and charger, your transcripts will not be released.
  • graduation practice begins at 9:00 in the Worship center.
