Seniors:
You will be running the halls this Wednesday, May 17. Meet Mrs. Royal in gyms A&B at 1:30
Chromebook Collection
Chromebook collection will begin on Monday 5/22. Students will turn in chromebooks and chargers in Mr. Adam’s room. Seniors may begin turning in chromebooks on Firday 5/19.
Locker Clean Out
We will do a locker clean out on Monday 5/22 during 4B. Please begin taking things home before then.
AP Bio 2017-2018 informational meeting on Wednesday, May 17 during 1st lunch in Mrs. Townsend's room. Please make every effort to be there as we will be discussing the summer assignment.
Senior fun money due May 16. Please turn in $15.00 cash or check made out to HGCS so you can attend on May 19th after graduation practice.
Chromebooks: If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org
Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.
- First use no consequence
- Second use lunch detention assigned
- Third use lunch detention assigned
- Fourth and above after school detention assigned
- Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

ATHLETICS:
HGCS Varsity Softball will host a second round state tournament game tomorrow (Tuesday, May 16) against Providence Day at 5:30pm. Admission for the game is determined by the NCISAA and will be $7 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 8 and under. Booster Club passes are not accepted at NCISAA tournament games.
With a win tomorrow, the Varsity Softball team will travel to Raleigh to compete in the semifinals on Friday at Wake Christian Academy.
We hope to see you at the softball field tomorrow afternoon supporting the Varsity Softball team!
This week is the last week of off-season workouts. Summer workouts for JV and Varsity Football will start Tuesday, May 30th and will be held Monday through Thursday throughout the summer from 7:55am to 12:00pm.
CHS Heart of a Champion
Save the date for this year's Heart of a Champion event with Carolinas Healthcare System! HGCS will participate in the event on June 3rd. This event serves as a FREE sports physical and heart screening, and it is available for student-athletes in grades 9-12. Participants must register online at CarolinasHealthCare.org/Heart-of-a-Champion between May 1st and May 28th. ALL participants must ride the bus from HGCS to the event site--parents may NOT drop off students at the event site. CHS will be releasing our school's arrival and screening time soon.
