Things you need to know
Senior recognition Chapel is Friday, May 4, 9:30.  Honor dress required and all of High School will attend.
SMART Lunch schedule for 2nd semester:
Here is the new SMART lunch schedule for 2nd semester.

Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org
Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.
  • First use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.
Clubs:
This is Week 1 for SMART lunch clubs.

ATHLETICS
The women’s soccer team defeated Southlake Christian Academy 9-0 in Thursday. Goals were Rea Syska (6), Milla Syska (2) and Bekah Fogal (1). Assists were Milla Syska (3), Rea Syska (2), Bekah Fogal (1), Tori Pope (1). 

Lucy Jennings had 3 saves in the goal.

The Lady Lions play at home on Monday 4/30 in the first round of MAC conference games at 4:00.

International Culture Club invites all HG students to our 2nd annual "International Festival".  We hope you will come and experience many different cultures, music, and information.  

There is no charge for the festival -- travel around the world during smart lunch on April 26 (Thursday)

Please attend according to the schedule below:

1st Lunch -- Freshmen and Sophomores

2nd Lunch -- Juniors and Seniors

BUFF PUFF FRIDAY: Here is the schedule for classes:
7:45 - 8:25
8:30 - 9:10
9:15 - 9:55
10:00 - 10:40

LOST AND FOUND:
Mrs. Felecia will be cleaning out her lost and found closet this Thursday. If you are missing anything, check with her to see if she has it.

ATHLETICS
Congratulations to Savannah Brown for throwing a perfect game yesterday against Gaston Christian! Savannah struck out 13 of 21 batters to lead the Varsity Softball team to a 3-0 win! 

 The Varsity Softball game scheduled for this Thursday, April 26th at Piedmont High School has been cancelled. 
Varsity Softball practice has been cancelled for today (Thursday, April 26th).

 Due to anticipated rain this evening, today's Varsity Baseball game at SouthLake Christian Academy (Moor Park) has been moved up to 5:00pm (originally 7:00pm).

The women’s varsity soccer team lost a very tight game at home Wednesday to Gaston Christian 1-2.
Goal by Milla Syska assisted by Rea Syska. Lucy Jennings had 8 saves in goal.
The Lady Lions last regular season game is today at Southlake Christian Academy at 5:15.

Things you need to know
SAT Test:
Tomorrow, all 9th-11th graders will take the SAT test. Please be on time. The room assignments are on the bulletin board in the stairwell. Please check today so you know where you are going in the morning.

BUFF Practice:
Tomorrow, Mrs. Staples has offered to supervise Buff Practice after school from 12-1. You may stay only if you are participating in the BUFF PUFF games. You must be off campus by 1:00. If you ride the bus, you need to leave at 12:00. The bus will not run after 12:10 again until the end of school at 2:30
Next practice will be Thursday during lunch.

Student Council Application Packets are available from Mrs. Staples for rising 10th - 12th graders and Mrs. Askins for rising 9th graders. Applications are due on Tuesday, April 24. Late applications will not be accepted. Please read the contents of the packet carefully.
