Things to Know:

Wednesday Night Church
Wednesday night church begins tonight. All Middle/High school students meet in the basement from 6:15 pm-7:30 pm.





Rho Kappa Meeting

This Thursday in Mrs. Davis' room (FLC 4220) 2nd lunch. 


Seniors

If you are going to Camp Lurecrest, you will need to attend a meeting during 2nd lunch in room 3016 in the basement.

Class T-shirts are now for sale! 

This year we will be commemorating our 25th anniversary with a unique design. Due to the quick turn around, the shirts will only be on sale until 2:30 pm, Friday, September 6. so that we will receive them back in time for the Homecoming festivities. Orders will not be accepted after 2:30 on Friday.

The shirts cost $15.00 and may be purchased through Brushfire.

Lions for Life

"Lions for Life invites you to come to hang out with us every Wednesday during 1st lunch in room 4222. We are a pro-life club that believes through the power of prayer and fasting we can change the culture in our city where people stop running to the abortion clinics and run to the church. We will spend our smart lunch in prayer together for the unborn children of God. Come out and learn how you can become a part of such a powerful, life-changing ministry. Internships are available.

International Culture Club                        


ALL HG Students are welcome to join the International Culture Club in our yearly trip to Lake Norman for kayaking, sailing, and paddle boarding. Information meeting is this Friday, Sep 6 during 1st lunch, Mrs. McFarland's classroom 4214. Come find out all of the information you to participate in this popular event. It is a teacher workday so you are out of school and want to spend time with your friends. No better place than on the lake! Classroom code: sf0g2t

Miracle on 34th Street Auditions


When: Come Thursday (9/5) OR Friday (9/6)   3:00-4:30 pm
Where: 3010 (basement)
What’s needed: You simply need to show up and sign up. Sign up on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Robertson’s room. Anyone in the High School can audition. You do not need prior experience.
What will I do: You will be given a page from the script to read and act with another student.
Character options & Rehearsals: There is a copy of the rehearsal schedule and character descriptions on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Robertson’s room.
Performance dates: Nov. 15 & 16 , 2019
First rehearsal: Sept. 12


Homecoming Tickets

  • Tickets will be sold at lunch. There will be a table outside the cafeteria, on Aug 23- Sep 6, Sep12-13 ($35).
  • Cash, Venmo and PayPal payment options are available. Venmo purchases are made through Yvonne Herberg her Venmo information is @Yvonne-Herberg.** PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE – student’s first and last name and grade when transferring funds. This ensures your ticket is marked as paid. PayPal payments should be made to amiehopkinsangle@gmail.com.* MAKE SURE AND INCLUDE STUDENT’S FIRST AND LAST NAME IN THE COMMENTS.
  • Students are allowed to purchase 2 tickets. If a guest is a non–HG student that student will need to be approved by the Homecoming committee
  • Tickets cost $35 through September 16. Tickets purchased after 9/16 and at the door will cost $45.

Box Tops
Boxtop collection is going on now through September 5. Ask neighbors, friends, relatives for anything with a boxtop on it. Bring to the HS office in a baggie with your name and grade.






Chromebooks

If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org

Charging Station: Is available in the high school office. 
  • First, use no consequence 
  • Second use lunch detention assigned 
  • Third use lunch detention assigned 
  • Fourth and above after-school detention assigned 
  • Consistently forgetting to bring Chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences
