Spirit week winners will be announced during the Pep Rally. No collar winners will celebrate beginning Oct 10th. The prizes are as follows:
- 1st place- 4 no collar days
- 2nd place- 3 no collar days
- 3rd place- 2 no collar days
- 4th place- 1 no collar day

Chromebooks: If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org
Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.
- First use no consequence
- Second use lunch detention assigned
- Third use lunch detention assigned
- Fourth and above after school detention assigned
- Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

Clubs:
"The activity for Culinary Club has been cancelled today due to the pep rally. See Classroom for information about rescheduling"
Rho Kappa: As part of October's club meeting, we will be inducting our new members into Rho Kappa. We will need to start the induction ceremony on time, so please come early and be in place by 12:40 p.m. We will meet near the bookstore in room 1113-1114. All members are expected to present. Friends and family are welcome to join us.
We will be having debate club every Wednesday at first lunch rather than every other Wednesday.

ICC (International Culture Club) meeting postponed until October 4 due to the homecoming week rescheduling of the powder puff game during lunch on the original meeting date.
WE hope all that have already signed up to attend the "Mid Autumn /Mooncake Festival" will still plan on coming to the Tuesday meeting room 1108 2nd lunch.

ATHLETICS
Early Dismissals
Friday, September 30 (for Pep Rally):
Varsity & MS Cheerleading - 1:30pm (report to FLC Lobby in uniform)
All other Varsity athletes - 1:40pm (report to Gyms A/B)
Homecoming Pep Rally
Make plans to join us at our Homecoming Pep Rally where we will recognize our Fall Varsity teams and watch our Varsity Cheerleaders perform. We'll have the ultimate Lip Sync Battle and the introduction of the Homecoming Court, something you don't want to miss! Varsity and MS Cheerleaders will be dismissed at 1:30pm and should report to the FLC Lobby. All other Varsity athletes will be dismissed at 1:40pm and should immediately report to the hallway outside of Gyms A/B for the pep rally.
Food Truck Tailgate
Come early to get your pregame meal from Two Chicks and a Truck and Vito's Pizza Truck. Both food trucks will be serving food starting at 5:30pm in the gravel parking lot at the athletic complex. Dress in your blue & gold HG spirit wear, bring your chairs, and hang out with friends and family as we get ready for the Homecoming game and festivities! 10% of sales will be donated to the school.
Homecoming Game
The 2016 Homecoming Varsity Football game will be played on Friday, September 30 at 7:00pm against Christ the King Catholic High School! Students who wear blue and gold to the game will be admitted for $1. Don't miss the presentation of the Homecoming court and crowning of the King and Queen at halftime!
Fall Senior Night
Friday, October 14 is Senior Night for fall sports! The HGCS Athletic Department and AAA Booster Club will recognize senior athletes for all fall teams during halftime of the Varsity Football game, which starts at 7:00pm. Senior athletes and senior parents will receive additional information regarding Senior Night instructions in the coming weeks.
Winter Sports Informational Meeting
An informational meeting for all students and parents interested in winter sports (basketball, cheerleading, swimming) at Hickory Grove Christian School will be held on Monday, October 17 at 6:30pm in Room 3012 (Education Center Basement). The meeting will cover tryouts, required paperwork, policies, expectations, and specific team information.
Fall Varsity Sports Banquet
The end-of-season awards banquet for fall varsity athletes will be held on Monday, November 7 at 6:30pm in Gyms A/B.
