Juniors - If you were unable to come in to the College Prep Workshop don't worry. Tomorrow (Tuesday 20, 2016) during A lunch I will be going over the information.


Please stop by 1st lunch and don't miss this awesome opportunity to learn more about how to apply to college, scholarship opportunities and SAT and ACT information.



REMINDER:
NHSa& NJHS Meeting for all freshmen and sophomores will be held Wednesday in Mrs. Corbett's room.
This is for all students who are current members of NJHS and all freshmen and sophomores who received a packet for membership.


Coffee and Muffins are on sale downstairs every morning in the basement!


Coffee $2 (bring your own mug and it's $1 off!)

If you have an idea for your Dominican trip T-shirt design, please submit by September 23 to Ms. Wilson in the HS office


Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org


Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.


  • First use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

Clubs:
International Culture Club (ICC)  We are inviting all students/teachers to come to our first official meeting of the year.  Topic: Mid Autumn Festival !  Come find out how / why this is celebrated in the Asian cultures.  Taste "Mooncake" which is am important part of this festival.  


Sign up outside of the office to attend.  We want to make sure we have enough mooncake to share with everyone. 2nd lunch Sept. 29th Mrs. Smith's room 1108



GUIDANCE OFFICE
STAY CONNECTED to the High School Guidance Office to receive important info about planning for college, taking the SAT or ACT, and celebrating with your classmates when they get accepted to a college or University!

Varsity Men's Soccer - 2:15pm


Home Games This Week
On Tuesday, soccer and volleyball will play at home again against Gaston Day School, with MS Boys' Soccer and MS Volleyball starting at 4:00, JV Volleyball at 5:00, Varsity Men's Soccer at 5:30, and Varsity Volleyball at 6:00. Varsity Women's Tennis will also face Gaston Day on Tuesday in a home match at Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park.


Finally, our MS Boys' Soccer game will play Concord First Assembly at home on Thursday at 4:00pm. GO LIONS!


Senior Athlete Information Sheets
Senior Information Sheets for all fall senior athletes are due Monday, September 19.  Please turn your information sheets into the Athletic Office in the FLC. You must turn in your senior information by the deadline to be included in the Senior Night program.


Homecoming Game
The 2016 Homecoming Varsity Football game will be played on Friday, September 30 at 7:00pm against Christ the King Catholic High School! Students who wear blue and gold to the game will be admitted for $1. Don't miss the presentation of the Homecoming court and crowning of the King and Queen at halftime!


Fall Senior Night
October 14 is Senior Night for fall sports! The HGCS Athletic Department and AAA Booster Club will recognize senior athletes for all fall teams during halftime of the Varsity Football game, which starts at 7:00pm. Senior athletes and senior parents will receive additional information regarding Senior Night instructions in the coming weeks.
