YOU NEED TO KNOW
There is a mandatory meeting for all 2nd semester AP Government and AP U.S. History students. Students will meet during 1st lunch on Monday, October 31st. AP Government students will meet with Mrs. Davis in room 4220 and AP U.S. History students will meet with Mr. Coltrane in room 4210.
Friday Oct. 28 and 29 at 7 pm each night the Nights of One Act Plays will be performed in Kidtown Theater. You may purchase tickets ($7.00) at the door or at Lunch this week. There are three plays all of which are student directed by Juniors and Seniors. Come enjoy a night of laughter, snacks and fun at the Night of One Acts this weekend.
ALL NEW MEMBERS of NHS and NJHS should plan to attend a meeting on Wednesday, Oct 26 in Mrs. Corbett's room during 1st SMART lunch. This is meeting will provide you with important information about the induction ceremony to be held next week.
Lost and Found:
Please check the Family Life center Lost and Found and the HS office. At the end of
the month, anything left will either be trashed or donated. The Family life center has
several nice jackets.
ICC (International Culture Club) : THURSDAY GYMS A and B plan to attend the 2nd annual BAD -MIN -TON Tournament sponsored by the ICC. The gym will be open both lunch sessions for students to participate. Come and learn about this game that is widely played in Asian countries. Be prepared for some high skill levels from these students.

Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.
- First use no consequence
- Second use lunch detention assigned
- Third use lunch detention assigned
- Fourth and above after school detention assigned
- Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.

ATHLETICS
Winter Sports Tryouts
All students must turn in ALL athletic forms to the coach or athletic trainer on the first day of tryouts. Students who do not turn in all athletic forms will not be allowed to participate in tryouts. Athletic forms include the Athletic Physical Form, Athletic Participation Agreement, and Athletic Medical Forms Packet.
- VARSITY MEN'S BASKETBALL - October 31 & November 1, 2:45-5:30pm, Gym B (joint tryouts with JV Boys' Basketball)
- VARSITY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - October 31 & November 1, 4:15-6:00pm, Gym A
- JV BOYS' BASKETBALL - October 31 & November 1,2:45-5:30pm, Gym B (joint tryouts with Varsity Men's Basketball)
- MS BOYS' BASKETBALL - October 31, November 1, &November 3, 2:45-4:15pm, Gym C
- MS GIRLS' BASKETBALL - October 31 & November 1,2:45-4:15pm, Gym A
- SWIMMING - November 1 (HS only), November 3 (HS & MS), & November 4 (HS & MS), 3:00-4:30pm at Simmons YMCA - bus transportation will be provided and will leave campus at 2:45pm. Each swimmer must attend 2 days of tryouts. MS swimmers must attend Thursday and Friday. HS swimmers must attend Tuesday and one other day. HS swimmers must sign up for their second day with Coach McFarland in her classroom. All swimmers will need goggles for tryouts.
- VARSITY CHEERLEADING - No winter tryouts - roster is full.
- MS CHEERLEADING - November 1, 3:00-5:30pm, FLC Room 4106 (aerobics room)
Fall Varsity Sports Banquet
The end-of-season awards banquet for fall varsity athletes will be held on Monday, November 7 at 6:30pm in Gyms A/B. We will recognize each varsity team and announce team award recipients. Dinner will be served at the banquet. All fall varsity athletes and their parents are invited to attend.
