Lions for Life
"Lions for Life invites you to come to hang out with us every Wednesday during 1st lunch in room 4222. We are a pro-life club that believes through the power of prayer and fasting we can change the culture in our city where people stop running to the abortion clinics and run to the church. We will spend our smart lunch in prayer together for the unborn children of God. Come out and learn how you can become a part of such a powerful, life-changing ministry. Internships are available. 


INTERNATIONAL CULTURE CLUB  OFFERS ITS FIRST ALL SCHOOL WIDE ACTIVITY OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR:

SEPT. 16  LAKE DAY AT LAKE NORMAN    (MONDAY- NO SCHOOL DUE TO A TEACHER WORKDAY) 

KAYAK,         SAIL,           PADDLEBOARD        HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

PICK UP AN INFORMATION FLYER FROM MRS. MCFARLAND'S DOOR OR SEE MRS. SMITH IN THE HS OFFICE

This is a very popular trip each year and only 20 spots are available so sign up / pay early to reserve your spot.

SNHS
The absolute last day to turn in SNHS applications and dues to Mr.Moser is this Friday, Aug. 30th. 

Rho Kappa
Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society: 11th and 12th Grade Honor and AP Students wanting to join Rho Kappa must submit the new member application to Mrs.Davis by August 30th along with $20.00 dues paid in cash. Returning members only need to submit
$15.00 dues paid in cash to Mrs.Davis no later than August 30th. Please email or see Mrs. Davis if you have any questions.  


Tickets:
  • Tickets will be sold at lunch. There will be a table outside the cafeteria, on Aug 23- Sep 6, Sep12-13 ($35).
  • Cash, Venmo and PayPal payment options are available. Venmo purchases are made through Yvonne Herberg her Venmo information is @Yvonne-Herberg.** PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE – student’s first and last name and grade when transferring funds. This ensures your ticket is marked as paid. PayPal payments should be made toamiehopkinsgngle@gmail.com.* MAKE SURE AND INCLUDE STUDENT’S FIRST AND LAST NAME IN THE COMMENTS.
  • Students are allowed to purchase 2 tickets. If a guest is a non–HG student that student will need to be approved by the Homecoming committee
  • Tickets cost $35 through September 16. Tickets purchased after 9/16 and at the door will cost $45.

Boxtops
Boxtop collection is going on now through September 5.  Ask neighbors, friends, relatives for anything with a boxtop on it.  Bring to the HS office in a baggie with your name and grade.












Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org

Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.
  • First, use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after-school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring Chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.
