Chromebooks:  If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org


Charging Station:  Is available in the high school office.


  • First use no consequence
  • Second use lunch detention assigned
  • Third use lunch detention assigned
  • Fourth and above after school detention assigned
  • Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.
Clubs:.
ICC (International Culture Club) presents "El Salvador" by Fernando Orellana, a 10th grade HG student from this country. All are invited to come to this meeting in Mrs. Smith's room this Wednesday, 2nd lunch. (date was changed due to club pics on Thursday)  Come and support Fernando and learn something new to talk about around the dinner table!

GUIDANCE OFFICE
STAY CONNECTED to the High School Guidance Office to receive important info about planning for college, taking the SAT or ACT, and celebrating with your classmates when they get accepted to a college or University!


SENIORS - Don’t forget to request transcripts as soon as you apply to a college!  You can request a transcript easily by using this link:   
ATHLETICS
Spring Sports Tryouts
Spring sports tryouts are next week. Student-athletes must turn in ALL athletic forms to the coach on the first day of tryouts in order to participate. Athletic forms are available on the school website and include the following: Athletic Physical Form, Athletic Participation Agreement, Athletic Medical Forms Packet.
VARSITY BASEBALL:
  • Mandatory practice will begin Monday, February 20, 3:00-5:00pm
  • Baseball field on campus
  • Practice on Tuesday, February 21 and Wednesday, February 22 will be 4:00-5:30pm, but will return to normal time (3:30-5:30pm) on Thursday, February 23.
MS BASEBALL:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 2:45-4:00pm
  • Wednesday, February 22, 2:45-4:00pm
  • Tryouts will be at the baseball field on campus
  • Regular practice beginning Thursday, February 23 will be at the HGBC Recreation Complex in Mint Hill (shuttle transportation will be provided from campus to the complex, leaving immediately after school (must be on the bus by 2:45); parents must pick up their student-athletes at the complex after practice—transportation will NOT be provided back to campus).

  • Mandatory practice will begin Monday, February 20, 3:00-5:00pm
  • Softball field on campus
MS SOFTBALL:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 3:00-5:15pm
  • Wednesday, February 22, 3:00-5:00pm
  • HGBC Recreation Complex in Mint Hill (shuttle transportation will be provided from campus to the complex, leaving immediately after school (must be on the bus by 2:45); parents must pick up their student-athletes at the complex after tryouts/practice—transportation will NOT be provided back to campus).
  • Voluntary workouts will be held on Wednesdays leading up to tryouts after school until 4:15 at the softball field on campus.
VARSITY WOMEN’S SOCCER:
  • Monday, February 20, 2:45-4:30pm
  • Tuesday, February 21, 2:45-4:30pm
  • Soccer field/practice field on campus
MS GIRLS’ SOCCER:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 2:45-4:30pm
  • Wednesday, February 22, 2:45-4:30pm
  • Soccer field/practice field on campus
VARISTY MEN’S TENNIS:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 2:30-4:45pm
  • Thursday, February 23, 2:30-4:45pm
  • Practice courts on campus (Latin American Campus parking lot)
VARSITY MEN’S GOLF:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 3:30-6:00pm
  • Thursday, February 23, 3:30-6:00pm
  • Pine Lake Country Club (shuttle transportation will be provided from campus to Pine Lake, leaving immediately after school)
VARSITY TRACK:
  • Tuesday, February 21, 3:00-4:30pm
  • Thursday, February 23, 3:00-4:30pm (CHANGED FROM WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22)
  • Football field/track on campus
  • Must have a towel or yoga mat, an exercise band with soft handles, and a watch.
  • Voluntary pre-season conditioning will be held every Tuesday and Thursday beginning February 7 leading up to tryouts from 2:45 to 4:15 on campus. Athletes must have a current physical on file with the Athletic Trainer to participate. Athletes must bring a towel or yoga mat and an exercise band with soft handles to workouts.


Winter Sports Banquet
The Winter Sports Banquet for our Varsity teams will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:30pm in Gyms A & B. All Varsity winter athletes and their parents are invited to attend. Dinner will be served and team awards will be announced at the banquet.
