Things you need to know:

Celebrating Black History Month

During the month of February we will have several activities to celebrate Black History Month.

- If you are interested in helping create a Black History Month Display there will be a meeting in room 4204 (Mrs. Paslay's room) Monday 2/6 during second lunch.

- Beginning Friday, February 10th Mr. Coltrane will be holding an African American seminar in his room second lunch. Join him as he discusses the rich history of African Americans. The seminars will be held every Friday the month of February beginning next Friday.

MESSAGE FROM OFFICER DAN:

All student drivers are to be off campus by 2:40 unless you are playing a sport. Please do not congregate in the parking lot after school..

C3 meeting Smart Lunch 1 and 2 Friday February 3 in the Computer Lab.

Pre-season conditioning for Varsity Track will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday beginning February 7 from 2:45 to 4:15 at the football field. Athletes must have a current physical on file with the Athletic Trainer and must bring a towel or yoga mat, an exercise band with soft handles, and a watch.

Varsity Track tryouts have been changed to Tuesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 23 from 3:00 to 4:30. Tryouts will not be held on Wednesday, February 22. Once tryouts have concluded, regular team practice will begin Friday, February 24.

SMART lunch sessions:

Several of you are using Coach Pondo as a SMART lunch session when he doesn’t have SMART lunch on Mon, Tues, or Wed. You MUST to attend a SMART lunch session and get scanned in everyday. Coach Pondo will not be used as an excuse for not attending SMART lunch any further.

Rho Kappa trip to Biltmore is March 13th. All members need to pay $20.00 by the end of next week.

Chromebooks: If you have any issues with your Chromebook please email the IT department at chromebooks@hgchristian.org

Charging Station: Is available in the high school office.

First use no consequence
Second use lunch detention assigned
Third use lunch detention assigned
Fourth and above after school detention assigned
Consistently forgetting to bring chromebook fully charged to school may result in more severe consequences.
